Simple Ways to Raise Your Vibe & Feel More Like Yourself

Ever notice how some days just feel lighter? Like everything flows a little easier, your thoughts are clearer, and you move through the day with a sense of calm and confidence? That’s high-vibrational energy at work.

On the flip side, when your vibe is low, everything feels heavier. Small challenges seem overwhelming, decision-making feels impossible, and motivation is nowhere to be found. If you've been in a funk, the good news is—you don’t have to stay there. Raising your vibration isn’t about doing a complete life overhaul. It’s about small, intentional shifts that bring you back to yourself.

Here are some of my favorite ways to shift my energy when I need a reset:

☀️ Sunlight

It’s wild how quickly sunlight can change your mood. A few minutes outside or even sitting by a window can boost your energy, reset your circadian rhythm, and lift your spirits. If you’re stuck inside all day, take a quick sunshine break—it makes a difference.

🌬️ Fresh Air

Ever walked outside after a stressful moment and instantly felt lighter? That’s because nature literally clears your energy. When things feel stagnant, open a window, step outside, or take a deep breath of fresh air. Instant vibe shift.

🎶 Music

The right song can transport you. Whether it’s an empowering anthem, a nostalgic favorite, or calming instrumental music, sound has the power to shift your frequency faster than almost anything else. I literally categorize my Apple music playlists by the emotion I’m feeling or the vibe I want to feel so that I can be instantly transported through my favorite tunes.

💃 Dancing

Even if you have zero rhythm, turning up a song and moving your body shakes off stagnant energy like nothing else. It’s playful. It’s freeing. It’s a full-body reset. Give it a try—nobody’s watching.

😂 Laughter

Laughter literally raises your vibration. Watch a funny video, swap memes with a friend, or find a way to bring more playfulness into your day. (And if you ever need proof that laughter is magic, think about how kids can giggle for hours over the silliest things—pure, high-vibe energy.)

🎨 Creativity

Creativity isn’t just for artists. It’s anything that makes you lose track of time and feel in flow. Writing, painting, photography, cooking, decorating—whatever sparks joy, lean into it. I always feel the most aligned, the happiest, in my life when I’m in a creative flow. Lately, I’ve just been doodling and when I feel inspired, playing with clay!

🚧 Boundaries

Protecting your energy is just as important as raising it. If something feels draining—whether it’s a toxic conversation, overcommitting, or doom-scrolling—give yourself permission to say no. Boundaries = self-respect.

🙏 Gratitude

It’s impossible to stay stuck in a low vibe when you’re focusing on what you’re grateful for. Even the simplest things—a warm cup of coffee, a kind text from a friend, a cozy blanket—can shift your perspective. Try writing down three things you’re grateful for today.

📖 Journaling

Your thoughts take up so much space in your mind—getting them out on paper clears mental clutter. Whether it’s free-writing, brain-dumping, or reflecting on what’s been weighing on you, journaling helps process emotions and raise your vibration. This is my go-to when I really start to feel the low vibes kick in. I need a pen I love and an unlined journal, and when I’m equipped with my favorite journaling tools, my hand literally just takes over, revealing unconscious thoughts I had no clue were taking root.

🧘‍♀️ Meditation

Even five minutes of stillness can change everything. Meditation helps quiet the noise, reconnect you with yourself, and shift your energy. If traditional meditation feels hard, try breathwork, visualization, a mindful walk outside, or simply sitting in silence with a cup of tea.

💧 Water

Water is energy in motion. Drinking more of it, taking a shower, swimming, or even listening to the sound of rain can cleanse your energy and refresh your mind. If you feel off, try hydrating or soaking in a bath.

🌿 Nature

Spending time in nature helps ground and recalibrate your energy. Whether it’s a walk in the park, sitting by a river, or simply touching the earth, nature is a powerful healer.

🥗 A Balanced Meal

What you eat affects how you feel. Nourishing your body with whole, vibrant foods fuels you with the energy needed to stay clear, focused, and uplifted.

🧎 Yoga or Movement

Physical movement, especially mindful practices like yoga, helps release stress and raise your vibration. Stretching, flowing, or simply moving your body intuitively can create an instant energy shift.

🏡 Organization and Decluttering

Your physical space reflects your inner state. Clearing clutter, organizing your surroundings, and creating a harmonious environment can help you feel lighter and more aligned.

Raising your vibration is about intentionally choosing practices that uplift, energize, and align you with your highest self. The more you prioritize these small yet powerful shifts, the more you’ll notice a sense of flow, ease, and inspiration in your life.
